Milling teeth, also known as milling machine cutter heads or planing teeth, are generally divided into two specifications: Φ20mm and Φ22mm. This distinction is based on the diameter of the bottom of the cutter head.

Milling teeth, also known as milling machine cutter heads or planing teeth, are generally divided into two specifications: Φ20mm and Φ22mm, which are distinguished by the diameter of the cutter head base; both imported and domestic milling machines are configured with cutter heads based on these two sizes for the convenience of users to replace cutter heads; however, the structural design is much more complex, as each company has a different shape, but as long as the two main categories are distinguished, the rest are basically universal, and the shape does not need to be rigidly adhered to. Although each company has a different style in cutter head design, the basic idea is consistent; that is to ensure that the milling machine cutter head can rotate flexibly during milling operations and minimize the resistance of the cutter head during work, allowing for quick cutting of road surface materials; therefore, when purchasing, we do not need to consider its shape, as each company's products have their unique aspects.
In terms of materials: the tooth part is generally made of tungsten alloy (equivalent to international standard YG11C), with a hardness between 88-89HRA, a bending strength of 2400n/mm2, and a density between 14.5-14.9cm3; the cutter body is generally made of 42Crmo wear-resistant material, processed by cold and hot pressing forging technology, with a heat treatment hardness between 42-44HRC. The hardness should not be too high, as excessive hardness can easily cause the cutter handle to break; the washer is made of hard elastic 65mo material, with a diameter of 44mm, which avoids direct wear on the cutter seat during milling work and effectively protects the service life of the cutter seat.
A complete milling tooth consists of four important parts: alloy, tooth body, retaining ring, and stop ring.
